Can we see that we all have it already? We just persist in the thinking that we don’t. Let go. The letting go is the seeing, minus the thought of whether we have it or not. Thought only binds, it never frees. The problems of thought are not solved by more thinking.
When leaving a treasured situation of place or person we can simply choose whether we will miss it or not. Can we see that to miss a place or person is just to persist in wanting something we can’t have? Can we let go of this wanting and simply enjoy the memory for what it is without the attendant suffering?
To miss implies a lack, and in any given moment there is no lack of anything.
In many instances wisdom is no more than the ability to follow one’s own advice that we happily and freely give to others but fail to follow ourselves.
Sam Harris
If this were definable, explainable, graspable we’d have no religion, no art, no science.
That which is there, always, before everything. Empty yet abundantly full.
Even our expressions of the infinite nature of awareness limit, bind and conceal its actuality.
We experience the fundamental unity of everything through a mind that has evolved to divide the world into discreet pieces of ‘this’ which is separate from ‘that’. With the clarity of open awareness we can begin to glimpse the indivisible seamless whole into which we have always been woven. There is no ‘that, just ‘this’.
Merely having the thought ‘this isn’t it’, completely obscures the fact that it is.
Non duality is nothing extraordinary or special. It is the most ordinary, simple, obvious and natural perspective there is. Just what is here, now, unconditionally.
When we are together, you and I, we disappear in each other’s favour. We are the open space in which we are each other.
